the magic you are looking for is in the work you’re avoiding
Therapy and Nutrition Services in Brunswick, Ga
You’re tired of feeling like you have done everything “right” - so why dont you feel better?
It’s like you can never win.
You've tried the diets. You've read the self-help books. You've promised yourself that tomorrow will be different. But here you are again—anxious about food, critical of your reflection, exhausted from the mental gymnastics of trying to eat "perfectly" while feeling like you're constantly failing.
You’re not broken. You’re stuck in a cycle that wasnt designed to help you heal.
The truth is, disordered eating and poor body image aren't really about food or your body. They're often coping mechanisms for deeper struggles—anxiety that won't quiet down, self-esteem that feels impossibly fragile, emotions that feel too big to handle. When you try to fix these things with willpower alone, you're treating the symptom while the root cause keeps pulling you back.
Sound like you?
Diet culture promises control but delivers more shame
You’re managing anxiety through food rules instead of addressing what’s actually making you anxious
Negative self-talk has become so automatic you dont even notice it anymore
You’re isolated in your struggle, convinced everyone else has it figured out
Our integrated approach combines therapy and nutrition because your mind and body aren't separate—they're having a conversation, and right now, it's not a helpful one.
In Therapy: We'll uncover what anxiety, self-criticism, and control are really trying to protect you from. You'll develop actual tools (not just "think positive") to manage difficult emotions, challenge the harsh inner voice, and build authentic self-worth that doesn't depend on appearance or achievement.
Here’s what we’ll do together
How we help you get unstuck:
In Nutrition: You'll work with someone who understands that you don't need another meal plan—you need to heal your relationship with food. We'll help you tune back into your body's wisdom, release the good/bad food labels, and rediscover eating as nourishment rather than punishment or reward.
Together, they create lasting change because we're addressing both the thinking patterns that keep you stuck and the practical, daily experiences with food and your body.
there is a different way forward
Imagine waking up without immediately calculating what you'll eat or avoid today. Picture looking in the mirror with neutrality—maybe even kindness. Envision actually enjoying a meal without the anxiety spiral afterward.
This isnt about perfect self-love or never having a difficult day…
What we’ll work on
Its about a life where…
You find freedom from food obsession so you can actually live your life
You build genuine confidence that doesn't crumble with one critical thought
You make peace with your body—not someday, but now
You give energy to what actually matters to you
Change is possible.
You don't need more discipline. You need compassion, expertise, and a path that addresses the real issues—not just the symptoms.

FAQs
-
Weight loss is never my focus with clients as it often interferes with the deeper work they would benefit from. However, many clients do begin to see weight change as they begin healing their relationship with food and their bodies.

If you already have an established and beneficial relationship with either a therapist or a dietitian, I will encourage you to maintain that relationship. I may need to collaborate with that other professional to better support you, however, we would have that discussion and the proper documentation completed prior to making that connection.
